Hi Bloggies –
I feel really weird writing about food tonight, I have to say. I have been thinking all day about the people in Haiti. Today I finally made my donation to Partners In Health, a non-profit that I donate annually to – but this was an extra donation to go directly to their relief efforts in Haiti. Please click on this link and read about the organization, and if you are so inclined you can go here to make a donation to help them in their much needed relief work. Thank you!
Well, back to the blog, I guess…
This morning I had a piece of whole wheat toast with olivio before I left the house. I had a travel mug of coffee on my car ride. I listened to NPR during my trip to work. At 11 this morning I needed a snack, and opted for about six Trader Joe’s peanut butter pretzels – these things are basically my favorite things ever.
At 12 o’clock I actually went outside for a twenty minute walk with three of my colleagues. It has been soo cold the last week (in the teens) that when the temperature reached 35 degrees it felt like a heat wave. I really enjoyed my walk today. I also walked twenty minutes on Tuesday night (from my office to South Station) and it was rather cold. Today the walk was beautiful, it was a calm day and the sky was blue and the water was peaceful.
At 1 o’clock I had another big salad for lunch:
Sorry if the salad looks a little shook up…. I did shake it up after I put the dressing in (homemade, olive oil, red wine vinegar, balsamic, dijon, freshly ground pepper and garlic) In the salad: hard boiled egg, mixed greens, croutons, carrots, cucs, and grape tomatoes. I had a piece of dove dark chocolate after finishing the salad.
On my way home I snacked on a handful of dry roasted peanuts mixed with a few semi-sweet chocolate chips. At 7:30 I fixed dinner. A r. Praeger’s veggie burger on an Arnold’s sandwich thin, with mixed greens and garlic hummus. The sandwich was great.
Ok, I’m going to sign off – good night!
