Greetings, blog readers. How has your week been? My week has been full of birthday celebrations. Such a busy week, I can’t believe how much fun I had! My actual birthday was Thursday – but I had my first cake on New Year’s Day.
I had one day back to work on Wednesday, and then I had Thursday off to celebrate my birthday. 😀 Mom and I started my birthday morning by having breakfast at my favorite bakery, Seven Stars. I enjoyed a wonderful chocolate croissant and a cafe au lait.
I really enjoyed my breakfast so much.
Later in the day we went shopping and I had great success at some of my favorite stores.
I also had my hair and nails done – it was a really fun birthday. One of my favorite birthday dinners was also on Thursday – I went to Red Stripe with my special someone, and had an amazing dinner. I ordered the caesar salad, their famous grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup along with a glass of pinot noir. Oh, and I had such a lovely piece of chocolate cake with a side of vanilla bean ice cream.
Friday I was back at work and my friends and colleagues wanted to celebrate with me. We had bagels for a birthday breakfast, thanks to my friend Jane. We had cake in the afternoon to celebrate my birthday, too. In the middle of the day I received an amazing edible arrangement – which was great because I really needed the healthy, fresh fruit!
After work on Friday, my friends and I headed over to one of my favorite places, Les Zygomates where we had wine and amazing food. My lobster crepe was amazing. On Saturday night we had the family celebration where my mom made amazing food – turkey chili, pot roast, and countless amazing salads. And of course, my mom’s famous chocolate cake. There were a lot of candles on this cake:
Well, that about wraps up my birthday week. Now I have to prepare for a 5 day work week – I can hardly remember the last time I had to work a full week. I hope you all have a great week – and I’ll see you soon! Happy New Year!
You did have a lot of celebrating. That is great! Hope your year is wonderful! The pictures of you are lovely, too. M
