There was a great story on running airing on NPR on my way home tonight. Check it out! 😀 I really hope to get back to running soon. I miss it so much. I miss the fact that you can run anywhere. I just love driving somewhere after work and going for a run. Short or long. It just feels great. I cannot wait to start it up again. But I know, since I’ve been away from it for so long, that it’s not going to be easy to get back to where I was. But I will do my best. And I will try to have fun doing it.

Lunch was new and great. Leftover strata. And strawberries! Interesting (but good) combo. I was hungry this afternoon. I had a small (lame) granola bar. (I’m not going to go into it) My sister said I didn’t pack enough lunch. She was right.

I did not have a great day at work today. It got off to a crazy start right at 7:45 in the morning. I tried to think of my beautiful roses that are at home on the dining room table 😀

Dinner was super fun tonight! I went out with my mom and three of the women she used to teach with (they are her friends, and now – and for years – they are my friends, too!) to a wonderful Asian restaurant on the East Side of Providence. Apsara Palace is a wonderful place for Asian food. We ordered nime chow (one of my favorite appetizers!), pad thai, garlic green beans, and chicken with broccoli in oyster sauce (the traditional chicken and broccoli dish) oh – and who could forget the scallion pancakes?? Everything was amazing. There was a lot of food and I brought home a huge take out container home of leftovers! The entire bill came to $30. Five people had dinner. Amazing. I highly recommend checking this place out for either take out or sit down meals. I love the atmosphere. It was a lot of fun, a lot of families and children tonight – and all of the children (sitting at different tables) were entertaining each other across the room. It was super cute!

Ok, my day has been sooo long. I didn’t get home until 8:40. I had a lot of fun tonight. But I’m really looking forward to reading my book for a while.
