Wow, it’s been a long few days away from the blog. I hope you all had a great Valentine’s day and a wonderful long weekend…
I had a restful and busy weekend all at the same time. I was rested enough to actually get up at a decent hour this morning! I was up by 6:25 and I even had breakfast at HOME! I cooked up a packet of TJ’s heart healthy instant blueberry oatmeal. This time I made the oatmeal differently – I actually emptied the packet into the bowl, added half a cup of water and cooked it all together in the microwave. Normally when I make instant oats, I just add boiling water to the bowl, mix and eat. Making the oats the “new” way made them sooo much better!! I also added a few frozen raspberries to add more flavor (raspberries are amazing for you – FYI!)
Along with the instant oatmeal, I had a glass of 1% milk with half a scoop of Aria protein powder.
Even though I ate breakfast at 7am – I made it until 12 for lunch without a morning snack. That is nearly unheard of!
For lunch I had a Motts no sugar added apple sauce and a small serving of my healthy mac and cheese! (Pictures to come soon!)
This past Friday my order of Vitamuffin tops came in! Ben and I have been enjoying them. They are 100 calories, 6 grams of fiber, 3 grams of protein and lots vitamins – oh, and they are made with whole wheat flour – yay! It was a little hard to go back to work today… but I had a nice weekend so that made it a little easier! By the way, I am really enjoying Loving Frank and if you’re looking for a book to read – I highly recommend it!
