On Friday, Michelle Obama will begin digging up a patch of White House lawn to plant a vegetable garden, the first since Eleanor Roosevelt’s victory garden in World War II.

Also, in reading this article I learned that President Obama does not like beets… interesting. I wonder if there will be a fall out in the beet industry now… does anyone else remember when President George H. W. Bush declared that he did not like broccoli? How on earth can someone not like broccoli?! It is my favorite vegetable. Beets are another story. 🙂
