Wow. This past weekend was a my favorite kind – a holiday / three day weekend!! It was fantastic. I was super busy, and it went by really quickly and I’m sort of wiped out now.
Friday night Mark and I went out to dinner at one of our local East Greenwich favorites. Saturday I had a baby shower in Connecticut which was a lot of fun. After mom and I returned from the shower, my sister was home from Boston and the three of us went to see the movie Life As We Know It. If you are in the mood for a ‘chick’ flick I highly recommend this movie. I loved it and will probably have to see it again!
Sunday Mark and I worked on our upcoming project all day and finally got back to my house at 7 o’clock. My mom had made an amazing dinner of turkey and bean chili with homemade corn bread – it was amazing, and totally perfect after working all day long.
Monday I woke up early, enjoyed mom’s homemade pumpkin bread and coffee for breakfast, and then went with Mark and our friends Danielle and Jesse to the Scituate Art’s Festival. I bought two paintings during our visit.
Monday afternoon Danielle and I decided to make homemade pasta again for dinner. This time we did homemade tortellini with a sweet potato and goat cheese stuffing and a homemade linguine with a turkey and tomato sauce. It was amazing. Pictures will be posted soon – I promise!! I am pretty sure that Danielle and I were making fresh pasta for about three hours yesterday. I cannot wait for my leftovers tonight!
Today’s lunch was pretty basic:
Peanut butter and jam sandwich on whole wheat bread, an amazing pear and seltzer. I am amazed by how full I am at the moment!
It was quite a busy weekend, and in some ways I cannot believe I was back in the office today. This week is going to be a really busy one for me – but I will be back shortly, with pasta photographs!!
See you soon!
