Breakfast

Breakfast in the new place…

Hi All. I can’t believe I have been in my new place for three mornings already. Saturday morning I went over to Seven Stars to get a ginger biscuit and a cup of coffee because I had no food in the house. Saturday I went to three different grocery stores to start building a “pantry”. Some how along the way, I remembered to grab something for Sunday morning’s breakfast – a bagel from East Side Market. (My favorite market in the area!)

Today is Monday. Thankfully I had enough foresight to realize that there was no way I would be ready to go back to work, and I took the day off 😀 . This morning I slept in a little bit, got out of bed at 8 o’clock, and made a small bowl of oats and a cup of coffee.

This breakfast totally says ‘autumn’ to me. It was great!

In the mixture today:

1/3 cup oats

1/3 cup 1% milk

1/3 cup water

pinch of cinnamon

pinch of pumpkin spice

splash of vanilla

a super small amount of kosher salt

At the end I added a few raisins, a teaspoon of Barney Butter and another sprinkle of pumpkin spice:

I love these super small bowls from Fiesta Ware. They are perfect for my morning oats.

I am using this day off to run some errands, do more unpacking, hopefully go for a run, etc. We shall see what I get accomplished. Currently I am sitting at the Subaru dealership while my car is getting an oil change. This was the #1 thing I had to do today. (I can do laundry anytime, right?) So I am very glad this is getting done. I will be reporting back soon. See you in a bit!
