Lunch

Exercise and Lunch

So… for the first time since the surgery I (I think..?) exercised. I went for a lovely 30 minute walk. Then I walked while I did a couple of errands. (CVS, bookstore, Starbucks.) I walked into, scanned the seating area, noticed that all of the tables and chairs were taken – and I walked out. To me, if you can’t sit down with your coffee, Starbucks is not worth it. I just love sitting with my book, or my computer work and sip my latte. Oh well. (By the way, who are all of these people sitting at Starbucks at 2:15 on a Tuesday!?)

I got home by 2:30 and started lunch. I ate a leftover tuna sandwich on pita (from yesterday’s lunch), I made a salad with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, red pepper, carrots and cucumbers and a few baked potato chips.

It is always a really good idea to eat your meal, and then wait about twenty minutes to see if you are full. I totally did not follow this idea today. After my walk, errands and lunch I thought I was still hungry. So, I had two Trader Joe’s triple ginger snap cookies. Then I had a handful of peanut butter pretzels. Then I made my own special drink (since I skipped Starbucks) with 1/2 a cup of 1% milk and a little bit of coco. It was so good. And then I felt sick. I had eaten too much. Gross. I think I will remember to wait tomorrow 🙂

Eventually I felt better. Somehow I am looking forward to dinner – more chicken pie with puff pastry.

So, that’s about all I have for now. I am back to my reading and eventually I need to muster some energy to do laundry.
