To Do…

Earlier this week, I scribbled down a to do list for the weekend. On the list was running, cleaning, straightening and dusting my room, laundry, reading and a few other things.

I’m happy to say I have accomplished quite a few things off of the list. Most importantly today I cleaned, dusted and straightened my room. But somewhere in the midst of that, I think I might have thrown away my to do list… and now I do not really remember what else was on it. Oops. I also did some laundry, I did some running on Friday night… and tonight I am going to do some reading.

This morning I had a great bowl of oatmeal and two cups of coffee. I really love Saturday mornings. It is my favorite time of the week. I slept until 9:30 and then started my day.

The oats were the usual:

1/3 cup rolled oats

1/3 cup 1% milk

1/3 cup water

small handful of raisins

splash of vanilla

a couple of shakes of cinnamon

Once all of that was cooked on the stove, I added a pinch of brown sugar, a sprinkle of granola (with flax and pumpkin seeds) and a teaspoon or so of almond butter. Putting it all together took maybe ten minutes.

My coffee this morning was strong – and I think it fueled my cleaning.

Later in the day I had an undocumented late lunch / early dinner with one of my best friends, Danielle. We split a caesar salad and a turkey club panini. Both were amazing, and at 4 o’clock this afternoon we were starving. It was the perfect two things to split off of the cafe menu.

No dinner yet.

Today I did not run, and I did not go to the gym. I hope to get a nice run outside tomorrow, which will be three or four miles. Then I might look (again) at the Brooks running shoes.

I think I might search for my to do list in a bit. I’m wondering what else was on it…
