So, it has been a full week since my last blog entry. Sometimes I get so lost in my day to day work week routine (I often feel that I am in auto-pilot) that I do not have that much to report. It is often the exact same thing as the day before, and now even my food is often the same.
Here is a look at my Monday – Friday schedule:
5:35 – Alarm goes off
5:40 – Get out of bed
5:40 – 5:55 – Get ready for work (shower, dress, etc – I am super fast in the morning)
5:55 – 6:05 – Kitchen time. Grab pre-packed lunch, throw together smoothie for breakfast (the ingredients are pre-measured out the night before), pour coffee into travel mug (the coffee maker is automatically set to start brewing at 5:40 AM)
6:05 – Leave the house
7:00 AM – arrive at work, drink more coffee, come up with a work plan for the day with my colleagues
12:00 PM – lunch (food wise this is usually a salad with all sorts of beautiful fresh produce and some sort of protein)
3:30 – 4:30 PM – I usually leave work around this time
4:45 – 5:15 – Arrive at gym.
5:25 – 6:45 – work out. (run, elliptical, work with my trainer, weights, etc.)
7:00 – drive home from gym [Sometimes I have to stop at Whole Foods on the way home, depending on how many fruits, vegetables, etc I have ready for the next day – it’s usually a quick visit and I have a short list of supplies written out already which really helps time wise)
7:10 – 7:25 – shower, change into comfy clothes, think about dinner
7:25 – 7:45 – Prepare dinner
7:45 – 8:15 – Eat dinner
8:15 – 9:00 relax, read, watch TiVo, blog, talk to my sister or friends on the phone, etc.
9:00 – 9:30 – prep breakfast, lunch for the next day
9:30 – 10:00 – get ready for bed, read
10:00 – good night!
Sometimes when I look at this I think it’s rather insane / depressing. But other times I’m pretty happy about everything I squeeze into a day! I feel like I’m pretty efficient and I value the things I make time for in my day. (Working out, eating healthily, and so on.)
