Happy Hump Day

Hey everyone. Happy Hump Day.

Is your week going by quickly? The jury is still out for me. I’m not sure how I feel about this week, but I am definitely being productive.  Sunday I ran 3 1/2 miles, Monday I was on the elliptical for 40 minutes and four miles and yesterday I ran 5 miles of HILLS on the East Side of Providence (a.k.a. College Hill area) and then I met with my trainer for half an hour.

After five miles and working out with my trainer I was starving for dinner.  I took a much needed shower, changed into comfy clothes and got to work in the kitchen.  I chopped up red onions, red peppers, and got a couple of handfuls of spinach out of the fridge along with two eggs and some cheese. I made an easy scrambled egg dish which was nicely bulked up with low fat mozzarella cheese, the vegetables and salsa. I also had a tall glass of skim milk and a slice of sour dough bread.  Later I had to go back into the kitchen for another 1/2 glass of skim milk and another small slice of sour dough bread which I topped with salsa and a small sprinkle of mozzarella cheese – which I then popped into the toaster oven. It was a great second dinner!

I think I am taking a break from exercise tonight, but I am not exactly sure what I am going to do to keep myself occupied. I might go shopping – I definitely need to head over to City Sports to pick up a couple of things before my 10K race on Sunday…

Breakfast this morning was a smoothie – same old recipe for two smoothies. 1 banana, 2/3 cup non fat plain yogurt, 1/4 cup raw oats, chia seeds, flax seeds, two handfuls of blueberries, PB2 and protein powder. For liquid: ice and water. Yum.

Have a great day, everyone!
