2012: Day 26. You Never Regret A Workout

Hello there bloggies. Tonight is a brief recap, because I am exhausted, in bed, and nearly falling asleep.

The week is almost over but tomorrow will be the longest day of the week for me. Yesterday I had this for breakfast:

Ha – not the entire container, but the last of it. Probably about 6 ounces or so. I added flax, chia, a few raspberries about about a tablespoon of PB2. It was a great breakfast and I did not eat again until lunch. I had the last of the turkey chili for lunch. And then I had a piece of this….

OMG. The most amazing cake at work yesterday!!! I loved every bite of my piece. I wanted to eat half of the cake, actually. Wow. I was in some serious need of cake, apparently.

I had a late night at work on Wednesday and got home late, and skipped dinner and went to bed.

This morning I had a luna bar (peppermint stick which I love) for breakfast. I ate it slowly, along with some airborne and lots of water because I am pretty sure I’m getting another cold.

Lunch was pretty today – and I am glad that I had time to eat it:

SALAD!! Yes, it’s back because I am running out of ideas 🙂 In the mix: mixed greens, red pepper, tomato, carrots, green onion and tuna. I also had a ‘chunk’ of freshly baked bread to go along with it. Yes, I love carbs. They are the best. (I was glad for the tuna for some protein!)

I had a diet coke at 3:30 this afternoon because I had a lot of work to do and I felt like I could fall asleep at my desk. I made an effort to drink a lot of water, and took some echinacea and zinc.

I left work later than normal, it took a while to get home. I had dinner plans with a friend at 7 o’clock for noodles. But somehow I made time for a quick 30 minute workout in between my drive home and dinner. I was sort of really proud of myself for getting to the gym and getting on the elliptical machine for 30 minutes. I really wanted to take a nap instead. But as one of my friends says, “You never regret a workout!” Seriously – there are days that I live by this saying! Today was one of those days, and I was really happy that I did a little work out rather than skip it all together.

I met my friend at 102 Noodles on Ives Street in Providence. I have told you about 102 Noodles before, and tonight was another great evening there. I had the udon noodles with shrimp and coconut curry broth. It was amazing!!!

Ok. That wraps up the past two days. I’m going to bed. Good night bloggies! See you tomorrow.
