Wednesday a day late!

When it is hot outside, I really loose my appetite most of the time. Today I have only consumed 518 calories and it is almost 7 o’clock… what is up with that!?  It was  94 degrees today in Newton… and about 92 in Boston.  That is HOT for the end of May… at least in New England!

Before I get started on today, I have to re-cap yesterday.

Wednesday’s breakfast was one of my new discoveries… wonderful Trader Joe’s Blueberry Wheat Bran Muffins!!  These muffins are amazing. They are only 80 calories, 18 carbs, 4 grams of fiber, and 3 grams of protein. Along with a glass of milk with one scoop of Aria protein powder, this muffin kept me going until after 12pm on Wednesday!

The muffin is the perfect size – to give you an idea, here it is next to a stack of post-it notes!

My lunch was sort of thrown together at the last minute… I was running short on time and did not have enough time to make a salad. Instead I had a peanut butter and jam sandwich on Arnold’s double protein bread and a vanilla Oikos Greek yogurt. This was such a good combination – lots of protein from the bread and yogurt and the healthy fat from the peanut butter kept me full.

At 3pm I had my gala apple….

which did not fill me up – by 4:15 my stomach was gurgling. Because I was going to cheer Ben and his softball team on for a while after work, I knew I needed another snack – thankfully I had a PURE bar… YUM! I love the apple cinnamon flavor!

I love the slogan of PURE bars…. It kinda does grow on trees. 🙂

I did not get home from the softball game until after 8 o’clock on Wednesday night. On the way home Ben decided to order Chinese food (he was starving from playing softball for many hours…. I was slightly starving after cheering enthusiastically for the him and the team!) I was very surprised to see our delivery person on our poarch when I got home… Ben was along a few minutes later.

I did not take a picture of dinner last night… but I had sweet and sour chicken (Ben was nice enough to share his with me!) and chicken fried rice. It was fantastic!

That about wraps up Wednesday… hope you guys are all having a good week!
