The Rest of the Day…

Soo… I left the house a few minutes before 5:30 to head to the gym. I got there 15 minutes early, put my gym bag in the locker and hit the treadmill. I did a quick and easy mile until it was 6 o’clock and then I met up with my trainer.

The first session was an hour, we did a lot of talking, went through personal health history, my goals of personal training, my diet (fun!) and so on. We did some foam rolling, push ups, core exercises and I learned about a new elliptical machine that mimicked the motion of running without all of the impact on your knees. How cool is that!? I really like my new trainer, and I’m definitely looking forward to working with her in the coming weeks.

After the gym I walked over to East Side Market to get a few things for dinner (red pepper, scallions) skim milk, apples, Stacey pita chips, Pacific butternut squash soup, Chobani yogurt, etc. I got home and started making dinner. An ode to my friend Tim, I made ramen noodles topped with scallions, cooked with red peppers, ginger, garlic, and corn. I topped it with a splash of light soy sauce and left over roasted chicken…

This dinner was sooo good. It was 8:15 by the time I ate dinner. I was sort of starving.

Right now I’m catching an episode of Modern Family (one of my my favorite shows on tv these days!) and I still need to pack my lunch and then head for bed. It has not quite hit my body that I woke up so early this morning… I know it eventually will. Yikes!

See y’all tomorrow!
