Wow, I am so happy that today is Hump Day. It has been a heck of a week, that is for sure.  Last night I totally passed out and today I am feeling so much better – apparently my body needed a lot of extra sleep last night!

This morning I was back at it. I arrived at work at 7:15 this morning. I had a lemon zest Luna Bar for breakfast and a small cup of hot coffee. It was 75 degrees when I walked into the building this morning – wow!

I had to walk and get lunch today, and it was super hot out. I guess I was just too tired to think about the budget and / or lunch last night, so I splurged this afternoon and bought lunch at Au Bon Pain:

Lunch cost $7.25 – yowzer!  It seems like a lot of money when I could have (and should have) packed a turkey sandwich from home. BUT this sandwich was super good so that made up for the fact that I spent almost $10 on lunch today! (I also bought a medium iced coffee which ran another $2.45 – but since it was nearly 90 degrees out this afternoon, it was worth it!)

The sandwich had turkey, red onion, tomato, lettuce, cucumbers, dijon mustard and herb mayonnaise on it.  The other great thing about lunch is that it kept me full all afternoon – which I can rarely say. I’m sure it was partly the sandwich, iced coffee and baked Lays and partly the hot temps! I am always less hungry when the summer heat comes around.
