Greetings bloggies – happy Tuesday morning to you all! I hope your week is off to a great start.
I have been feeling sleep deprived for the last couple of days, and just have not been sleeping well during the evenings. This started Saturday night and continued into last night and this morning. However, I did have a semi – nap on the train this morning on the way to work. Probably not the most productive use of my time (I usually read on the train) but I could not help it.
Last night was quite the culinary event at my house. My sister came home for the evening and decided to make me dinner – what a special treat. The recipe and meal itself were both wonderful – and I’ll share the recipe with you tomorrow.
But for now, dream of this: salmon, sauteed mushrooms, spinach and boursin cheese wrapped in puff pastry. Dinner was served late, due to a visit from our city’s fire department. But while we waited on our main course, I made a killer spinach salad with tomato, cranberry, and my lovely apple cider and sesame oil dressing.
I hope that none of you are as tired as I am today. See you later tonight!
Why did the fire department come? I hope it wasn’t an emergency. Your dinner sounded delicious!
Marilyn: the fire department came because our smoke detector is tied in to our alarm system, so if the smoke detector goes off the fire department gets called – or at least that is how I think it works. I was waiting for the alarm company to call – but they never did. They sent three trucks instead. It was a rapid (and friendly) response. Thankfully it was not an emergency – I wish I could have kept them from going through all the effort!!
