I survived Monday, did you? It was a rather long day for me – over 14 hours commuting, working and running. But it was a great day.

Breakfast: Kashi chewy granola bar
Lunch: 1 salad with a 1/8 cup chicken breast tossed in for extra protein; 1 piece of WF whole wheat bread with basil and tomato hummus
PM Snack: greek yogurt and blueberries
[a 1.2 mile walk from work to the train – I opted for public transit yesterday so that I could read my book]
On the train home – prerun I was still hungry, so I had a 95 calorie Larabar – the cherry pie flavor (it was perfect)
An hour on the elliptical at the gym (giving my knees a much needed break after covering 13.6 miles over the weekend [Friday, Saturday & Sunday]). I covered 5.2 miles and I got an hour of reading, too. It was a rather perfect evening at the gym.
I got home at 8:25 last night. A super long day. Imagine my surprise (and delight) when I walked into the house and my mom was cooking bacon. Seriously!? Yum.
Dinner: BSTBA (bacon, spinach, tomato, basil and avocado) on WF whole wheat bread. It was an amazing sandwich!!
Dessert: I had a 1/2 cup of real ice cream as I was talking to one of my best friends about possible career moves (for her, not for me). Peanut butter cup. It was worth it.
Somehow I found energy to prep a salad (half ass prep for sure) and prep a smoothie for 2. I was in bed by 10:30 last night, I talked with a friend, read for a few minutes and was asleep in no time.
