I have been struggling to find cute and comfortable shoes for AGES. I just do not know why this is so difficult for me. The other day I discovered Tieks on line, and I was so thrilled because I thought I had found the answer to my problems. I ordered a pair and I was so excited for them to arrive.

I love the presentation. And I really, really wanted the shoes to feel like slippers. But, of course, they did not. They hurt my feet the second I put them on. I was so sad. So, I took them off, packed them up and I am going to try one more time. I’m going up one size and crossing my fingers that the Tieks still might work for me. I will keep you posted!
You might have noticed that I haven’t been writing as much lately. There are a couple of reasons for this. One, I did not run much this past week, so there was not too much to report. But I did get in 5 miles on Monday and I walked a lot during the week. I hope to get three runs in next week, Monday – Friday. That is the goal.
Another reason is that I have been so busy and my food has been really the same thing almost every day! For breakfast I have been eating either cereal with soy milk or a Luna bar. For lunch, a 2% Fage yogurt and an orange. Did you ever stop to think about how messy oranges are?? But they are one of my favorite things!
My afternoon snack is a healthy handful of some really dense trail mix from Whole Foods. I love this stuff! Almonds, peanuts, dark chocolate bits and dried raspberries. Really good stuff! Dinner has been much more substantial. I went out three times in the past week, but healthy meals most of the time.
On Monday I went to Pizzico with my mom… I had left overs on Wednesday, too. Vodka penne with grilled chicken. Sometimes you can’t get better than this:
