Do you remember the game Hungry Hippos? When I was a kid I thought it was so much fun. I ate a ton of (healthy) food today, and I felt sort of like a hungry hippo 😦
After my Luna bar, I had to have a mid-morning snack at 10:15. Chobani vanilla yogurt, and I read a few pages of my new favorite book during my break:
I love this book so much. I have decided that I will be planning a trip to Paris within the next year if at all possible. Another great reason to be on a budget! I snacked on a few grapes, too.
I barely made it to lunch time. At 12:15 I broke into my salad and I had a bowl of Trader Joe’s mushroom Thai noodle soup. It was a good combination.
After lunch, I went for a lovely walk. It was a beautiful day in Boston today, over 80 degrees! I was starving for a couple of hours towards the end of the day. At 4:15 this afternoon, as I was driving to the gym, I snacked on a peanut butter Kashi granola bar.
I had a personal training session at 6pm tonight. I made the horrible mistake of telling my awesome trainer that I was not sore after our Saturday session. I thought that was a good sign! But I guess it was not. She made this session seriously hard. I am sore already. But we did do some great foam rolling after the session. I think I’m going to pick up my own foam roller sometime soon. I love it. My muscles love it too.
Dinner = protein & easy. I made eggs with Swiss cheese and chives, along with toast, oranges, and milk with 1/2 a scoop of protein powder. I am hoping that the protein will hopefully lessen my muscle pain…?

Budget:
Today I spent a total of $2.45 on a medium iced coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts. Seriously, if you only have $30 to spend in one week, $2.45 seems sort of expensive for iced coffee. Oh well 🙂 I have spent a total of 13.80 this week (pizza, parking, coffee).
I have 12+ dollars remaining in my grocery budget for the week and 36.20 left in my “spending” budget. (30 spending and 20 “other”) Two more days left for this week.
Ok, I am sort of pooped from a long week of commuting and work, and my training session. See y’all tomorrow!
